Matt Edwards is a seasoned professional in cultural resources management and archaeology, currently serving as the Vice President for SWCA Environmental Consultants in the New Mexico-Four Corners region since February 2016. In this role, Matt oversees projects in Albuquerque, Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Durango, Colorado. Prior to this, Matt held multiple positions at HDR, including Cultural Resources Program Director and Business Class Manager for Cultural Resources. Experience also includes serving as Archaeology Program Manager at New South Associates, Inc., as well as roles at GSA and the same firm earlier in Matt's career. Matt holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from UC Santa Barbara, a Master of Historic Preservation from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Utah.
