Brianna Zurita, MPP has extensive experience in the field of environmental planning and policy. Brianna started their career in 2015 as a Conservation Intern at the Tucson Audubon Society. In 2016, they joined the University of Arizona Institute of the Environment as a Green Engagement Program Coordinator.
Brianna then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arizona School of Government and Public Policy from 2016 to 2018, where they conducted research on the National Environmental Policy Act and environmental conflict resolution. Brianna also served as a Co-Author and Graduate Research Assistant during this time.
In 2017, Brianna joined the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment / USDA-ARS as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they focused on research related to environmental issues.
In 2018, Brianna took on the role of Project Coordinator at the University of Arizona, Institute of Environment, Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions. During their time there, they coordinated various projects related to climate adaptation.
Currently, Brianna serves as an Assistant Project Environmental Planner - National Environmental Policy Act & Public Involvement at SWCA Environmental Consultants. Brianna is responsible for issues-based NEPA analysis and acts as a project coordinator and lead author for a wide range of environmental assessments, impact statements, and resource management plans. Brianna also has expertise in public involvement, including public scoping, comment analysis, and protest resolution, as well as administrative record management.
