Marcus Svensson has extensive experience in security and law enforcement, with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as an Expert in person protection and security at Migrationsverket since February 2016, Marcus previously held various roles at Säkerhetspolisen from May 2007 to February 2016, including Criminal Inspector specializing in personal protection and intelligence handling. Additionally, Marcus worked at Polismyndigheten from June 2001 to May 2007, where responsibilities included instructing on firearms and tactics, as well as conducting investigations within the immigration police. Marcus is a graduate of Polishögskolan Stockholm, having completed studies from 1999 to 2001.

The Swedish Migration Agency is commissioned by parliament and government, who set the Swedish asylum and migration policy. We are thus commissioned by the Swedish people, through the politicians who make decisions on migration policy.
