Marcus Toremar currently serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Head of the Digitalization and Development Department at Migrationsverket, a position held since January 2020. With extensive experience at the Swedish Migration Board since April 2007, Marcus has also held roles as Project Manager and Head of the Asylum Examination Unit 3 in Gothenburg. Previously, Marcus was a Regional Manager at the Swedish Migration Agency and worked as a Medium Term Expert at the Authority for Aliens from 2002 to 2004. Marcus holds a University Diploma in Sociology from the University of Gothenburg and an LLM in Law from the Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law.
