Zheng Liu

Zheng Liu has worked in the engineering field since 2000. From 2000 to 2006, they were an Engineer at Dongfang Electronics Co., Ltd. From 2006 to 2018, they were a Project Leader and Development Engineer at ProSensus, Inc., where they developed the kernel modules of the BaleGuard product, a 360o surface defect inspection system using six cameras for rubber bale manufacturing industry. Zheng also invented a hybrid camera calibration procedure and developed several off-line simulators. Lastly, they installed five and upgraded three BaleGuard systems at four plants around the world. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Machine Vision Engineer at Swift Medical.

Zheng Liu's education history includes a M.A.Sc. in Process Systems Engineering from McMaster University, obtained between 2004 and 2006, and a B.Eng. and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Tianjin University, obtained between 1993 and 2000. In addition, Zheng Liu has obtained certifications from deeplearning.ai and Coursera, including Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Initiating and Planning Projects, Data Analysis Tools, Data Management and Visualization, and Machine Learning.
