Shivam Thapliyal is a seasoned visual designer and illustrator currently serving as Lead Visual Designer at Swiggy since June 2020, following roles as Senior Visual Designer and Product Illustrator. Prior to Swiggy, Shivam worked at Flipkart from December 2017 to June 2020 as a Product Illustrator, contributing to the creation of an illustration guide and a centralized icon repository to streamline design processes across teams. Shivam began a professional journey as a Product Illustrator Intern at Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in 2016, where an image processing application was developed for image classification using advanced algorithms. Additionally, early experience as an Android Development Intern at ROBOSAPIENS TECHNOLOGIES involved creating a flat UI-based application for an accelerometer sensor. Shivam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from COER University, completed in 2017.
