In earlier roles, Snežana worked as a Big Data Analytics Consultant on competitive intelligence projects, and as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental High Energy Physics at CERN from October 2014 to April 2018, focusing on Higgs boson searches and machine learning applications in data analysis. During the PhD tenure at the University of Geneva (2009-2015), research concentrated on High Energy Physics, complemented by teaching responsibilities. Educational qualifications include a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of Geneva, a diploma in Experimental Particle Physics from ETH Zürich, and a Matura in Computing Science from I kragujevacka gimnazija.
Swiss Data Science Center
Data science has become extremely important internationally, with the majority of top-tier international research and teaching institutions investing significantly in dedicated centers and programs. In this context, the ETH Domain launches the Initiative for Data Science in Switzerland to accelerate data science through both an expansion ofeducation and research, and the provision of infrastructure for data science users across disciplines. The Initiative creates both Master courses in data science at EPFL and ETH Zurich, and the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC), a joint venture between EPFL and ETH Zurich. The mission of the SDSC is to accelerate the adoption of data science and machine learning techniques broadly within academic disciplines of the ETH Domain, the Swiss academic community at large, and the industrial sector.
