Damir Filipovic

Damir Filipovic is a distinguished academic and professional in the field of financial mathematics. Currently serving as a Professor at both EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and SFI Swiss Finance Institute since 2010, Damir Filipovic is also a Board Member at Swiss Life AG. Previously held positions include Professor and Head of the Vienna Institute of Finance at the University of Vienna from October 2007 to December 2009, and Chair of Financial and Insurance Mathematics at LMU - Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from October 2004 to September 2007. Additionally, Damir Filipovic worked as a Scientific Consultant for Solvency Testing and Risk Analysis in Insurance at the Swiss Federal Office of Private Insurance from August 2003 to September 2004, and served as an Assistant Professor at Princeton University from February 2002 to June 2003. Damir Filipovic earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Financial Mathematics from ETH Zürich in 2000.
