Amique Mohammed Shaikh is an experienced Administrative Coordinator at BART since June 2015, specializing in contract and vendor management, overseeing over 70 vendors across HR divisions, and creating purchase requisitions for contract approvals. Prior roles include serving as an Executive Assistant to the AGM, providing administrative support, managing schedules, and handling correspondence. Amique has also worked in Human Resource Talent Acquisition, conducting panel interviews and preparing BGO reports, and served as an intern Administrative Analyst at the Office of Civil Rights. The current role includes monitoring daily activities and maintaining logs at Swords to Plowshares since June 2021. For over 45 years, Swords to Plowshares has provided direct services for low-income, homeless, and at-risk San Francisco Bay Area veterans regardless of era of service or discharge status. They are one of the few organizations in the country that provide free legal consultation and attorney representation to veterans seeking assistance with the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and military discharge upgrade cases.
