Maria E. currently serves as an MSW Trainee at La Clínica de La Raza since September 2024 and has been a Program Monitor at Swords to Plowshares since April 2022. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Welfare and Spanish Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work at the same institution.

Swords to Plowshares

For over 45 years, Swords to Plowshares has provided direct services for low-income, homeless, and at-risk San Francisco Bay Area veterans regardless of era of service or discharge status. They are one of the few organizations in the country that provide free legal consultation and attorney representation to veterans seeking assistance with the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and military discharge upgrade cases.
