He has many years of experience providing security and program management for both global companies as well as government operations. Joe holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Citadel and an M.S. in Finance Management from the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. Joe is a retired USMC officer who is passionate about veteran advocacy and engagement.

For over 45 years, Swords to Plowshares has provided direct services for low-income, homeless, and at-risk San Francisco Bay Area veterans regardless of era of service or discharge status. They are one of the few organizations in the country that provide free legal consultation and attorney representation to veterans seeking assistance with the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits and military discharge upgrade cases.
