Georgia Cerillo

Georgia Cerillo is a highly experienced scientist with a robust background in biochemistry and molecular biology, having earned a BA Honours Degree from Balliol College, Oxford University. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Sygnature Discovery since September 2021, Georgia leverages extensive knowledge to develop biochemical and cell screening assays, supporting client requirements and complex mechanism of action validations. Prior to this role, Georgia held positions at Redx Pharma as a Senior Scientist, where contributions included developing primary assays and supporting clinical studies, and at FAST Biopharma as a Senior Research Scientist focused on innovative cancer therapies. A significant tenure at AstraZeneca spanned over 25 years, encompassing roles in oncology, respiratory and inflammation research, including leadership in high throughput screening projects. Additionally, Georgia volunteered for the Covid-19 testing initiative at Medicines Discovery Catapult, demonstrating a commitment to public health.
