Peter Hu

Peter Hu, CPA, CA, serves as the VP and Chief Accountant at Symcor since March 2025. Previously, Peter held the role of Vice President of Finance Business Support at Home Trust Company from 2017 to March 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing full cycle accounting, preparing IFRS financial statements, and driving significant finance transformation projects. In earlier roles at Home Trust Company, Peter advanced to Director of Financial Operations and Senior Manager of Accounting Policy and Advisory, gaining expertise in structured financing, securitization, and accounting policy implementation. Prior experience includes positions at FirstOntario Credit Union, MNP, and PwC, where Peter focused on financial reporting, public company audits, and assurance services. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Carleton University.
