Sharmila Swenson

Sharmila Swenson is a seasoned professional in public affairs and social impact, currently serving as the Vice President at Symetra since January 2019, where responsibilities include enhancing relationships with corporate partners, elected officials, and communities. Prior experience includes managerial roles in local government affairs and public policy at Puget Sound Energy, and a relationship development officer at Treehouse. Sharmila's background also encompasses significant roles within the Office of Congressman Jay Inslee, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations Director, and Executive Assistant. Earlier experience includes coordinating campaign operations for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and serving in various capacities for Jay Inslee's re-election efforts.
