Symphony Space
Darren Critz has extensive experience in managing and directing performing arts programs. Darren started their career in 1994 as a Producer at The Second City and held this role until 2000. From 2000 to 2005, they worked as the Managing Director at Target Margin Theater. In 2005, they joined Symphony Space as the Director of Performing Arts Programs, where they currently hold this position.
Darren Critz obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Theatre from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Darren pursued their education at the university from 1988 to 1992.
Symphony Space
A two-theatre, multi-disciplinary performing arts center located on the Upper West Side in New York City. Programs include music, dance, theatre, literature-in-performance, film, kids' shows, and arts education. Signature programs include Selected Shorts, which is carried on 150 public radio stations nationwide; Wall to Wall, an annual, free 12 hour marathon concert; Bloomsday on Broadway, the annual celebration of James Joyce's Ulysses on June 16.
