Matthew Finlay

Matthew Finlay is currently the Technology Portfolio Development Program Director at Synchron, focusing on the advancement of technologies for endovascular neural implants since May 2024. Prior to this role, Finlay served as Applications Engineering Manager at Cirtec Medical from January 2017 to June 2024, where management of proposal delivery for novel neurostimulation and complex systems was key. Additionally, Finlay held positions as Senior Program Manager and Head of Quoting for Neurostimulation Programs at Cirtec Medical, leading internal processes for contract manufacturing. Experience also includes a Principal Mechanical Engineer role at Medtronic Eindhoven Design Center, where Finlay contributed to the design of deep brain stimulation electrodes, and a Technical Leader position at Sorin Group, overseeing R&D for implantable cardiac leads. Earlier work at American Medical Systems involved development responsibilities related to neuromuscular stimulation electrodes. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a BSE in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from Case Western Reserve University.
