Denise Yap

Denise Yap is an accomplished leader in corporate responsibility and philanthropy, currently serving as President of the Synchrony Foundation and Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Synchrony since June 2015. In this role, Denise oversees global grantmaking strategies and citizenship initiatives, launching impactful programs such as Synchrony Families that Work and Education as an Equalizer. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Corporate Citizenship Leader at Changing Our World, Inc., and roles as Philanthropy Advisor and Director of Corporate Contributions at AIG, where Denise managed a substantial annual budget of $32 million. Earlier career highlights include managing grant-making for the Avon Foundation and overseeing the Canada-US Fulbright Scholarship Program. Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Manitoba and has additional education from Université de Montréal.
