Suneel worked on major projects, including an affordable housing PPP in India. In 2016, they moved to Synergy Consulting Inc. as an Associate Director. In this role, they were involved in project finance, corporate debt restructuring, bid advisory, and PPP transaction advisory for projects in South Asia, Middle East, and Africa regions. Suneel worked on notable transactions, such as financial advisory for an airport PPP in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Suneel Palukuri earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in General Management from the Management Development Institute in Gurgaon. Suneel completed this degree from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur. Suneel pursued this degree from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Suneel Palukuri obtained a certification in Energy Subsidy Reform from the International Monetary Fund in October 2014.
