Jaya Ramchurn

Jaya Ramchurn has a diverse range of work experience. Jaya started their career as a Freelance Transcriptionist at the Mauritius Institute of Education in 2013. Jaya then became an Entrepreneur at Claws & Ruffles Limited, where they managed customers, acquired a large social media following, and created content. In 2019, Jaya worked as an English Second Language Tutor at the International School of Languages, providing individual lessons and conducting assessments. Jaya then worked as a Content Writer at pineapplecloudmauritius.com, where they interviewed entrepreneurs, created content for their visibility, and wrote articles on business and marketing. Jaya gained further experience as a Copywriting Intern at CONTADU, completing thorough research, writing high-quality content, and meeting tight deadlines. As a Freelance Copywriter, they increased website traffic, drafted and published engaging social media posts, and created web and digital media content. Jaya is currently working at Tagvenue, where they have held various roles including Junior Copywriter, Content Specialist, Interim Manager, and Team Lead.

Jaya Ramchurn completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English (Business Track) from Uniwersytet SWPS from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, from 2018 to 2020, Jaya pursued a Master's degree in Media, Culture, and Society at Lancaster University. Jaya's educational journey also includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Political Science, with a specialization in Public Administration, which was obtained from the University of Mauritius from 2009 to 2013.
