Summer Zhu has extensive work experience in the insurance and financial industry. Summer currently holds the position of Chief Medical Officer at TAL Australia since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Regional Medical Director at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated from August 2019 to September 2021. Summer also served as the Chief Medical Officer at BT Financial from December 2013 to July 2019. Before that, they worked at Legal & General as the Head of the China Project from October 2011 to April 2013. Summer has also held various roles at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated, including Medical Director for the Asia Pacific region and Chief Underwriter for China. Summer started their career at Munich Re as a Senior Underwriter from 2005 to 2006.
Summer Zhu earned an MD, PhD degree in Medicine from Peking Union Medical College in 1998.
