Karl Etters

Karl Etters is a seasoned journalist currently serving as the local government reporter for the Tallahassee Democrat since May 2012. With a background in covering crime, courts, and breaking news, Karl has also held editorial roles, including Editor-in-chief at The Famuan and News Editor in a previous tenure there. Previous experience includes working as a General Assignment Reporter at Tallahassee Magazine and contributing reporting to FSView and Florida. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Florida A&M University and an Associate in Arts degree from Tallahassee State College. Prior to a career in journalism, Karl managed seafood operations at The Fresh Market and contributed to the cabinet finishing process at Woodlane Cabinet Co.
