Joanne Baylis

Joanne Baylis is an experienced HR professional with a comprehensive background in human resources management across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of HR at Tameside College since February 2021, Joanne previously held the position of Group HR Manager at The Big Life Group from May 2016 to February 2021. Joanne’s career includes a significant tenure as HR Business Partner at New Charter Housing Trust Group, where responsibilities encompassed managing complex employee situations and enhancing organizational surveys in collaboration with senior leaders. With earlier roles as Senior HR Advisor at Caudwell Group and Personnel Officer at National Tyres and Autocare, along with a foundational position as HR Assistant at Vertex Data Science, Joanne has developed a rich expertise in HR operational issues, employee relations, and recruitment strategies. Educational credentials include a CIPD degree from The University of Salford and a BA (Hons) in Business and HRM from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
