Becky Swan

Becky Swan is an experienced professional in information governance and data protection, currently serving as the Head of Information Governance and Data Protection Officer at Tameside Council since May 2025. Prior to this role, Becky worked at Greater Manchester Combined Authority from January 2020 to May 2025, holding positions including Head of Information and Data Governance and Deputy Data Protection Officer. Additional experience includes roles at Arden & GEM CSU as Data Controls and Information Governance Lead, and as an Information Management Specialist at Stockport Council. Educational qualifications include a 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in Law from Leeds Beckett University, along with various certifications in GDPR and Freedom of Information from BCS and Act Now.
