Jason Berman

Jason Berman has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jason began their career in 1992 as a Technical Writer at MSR. Jason then worked as a Support Analyst at the Department of National Defence before joining North American Trust as a Support Analyst. In 1996, they worked as a Training Consultant at Cambridge Shopping Centres. Jason then transitioned to Canada Life, where they worked as an IT Support Consultant. In 1997, they became a Project Manager (Consultant) at Harlequin Books.

In 1999, Jason joined ING Bank of Canada (ING DIRECT) and held various roles such as Project Manager, Team Leader, Manager, and Senior Manager in IT Operations and Production Control. During this time, they implemented several important projects, including the relocation of the secondary datacenter, implementing a true dual datacenter capability, and designing and implementing IT infrastructure at different locations. Jason also managed the maintenance and operation of multiple production data centers.

In 2008, Jason had a secondment to ING DIRECT Australia as a Project Manager. Jason managed the production data center relocation to a hosted datacenter environment, focusing on site design, strategic planning, and managing the physical relocation.

Jason then moved to Eloqua in 2012, where they worked as the Director of Operations Center. Jason was responsible for overseeing the operations center activities.

Currently, Jason is working at Tangerine Bank (formerly ING Bank of Canada) as the Director of Infrastructure Projects and Production Operations. Jason is a member of the senior IT management team and has built and strengthened the core enterprise operations team. Jason also established and leads an Infrastructure Project Management Office to facilitate operational initiatives across all IT disciplines.

Throughout their career, Jason has demonstrated strong project management skills and has played a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and production systems.

Jason Berman's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto. Jason also completed an Executive Program in Leading Sustainable Strategic Change from the Schulich School of Business - York University in 2014. In 2003, they obtained a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the same institution. Jason's education also includes studies in Biochemistry at Queen's University and they completed the SSHGD Academy Programme at Earl Haig Secondary School.
