Monica Shaw is an experienced editorial professional with a diverse background in writing, content strategy, and technical communication. Currently serving as Editorial Director at TAPPI since January 2010, Monica also operates as a self-employed writer and has held roles as Content Strategist & Writer at Carabiner Communications until April 2024, and Editor at Miller Freeman, Paperloop, RISI from 1996 to 2007. Previous editorial positions include Editor at Huntsville Magazine and various technical writing roles at VMIC and Intergraph. Monica's career began as an Engineer at General Dynamics and an Analyst at United Technologies. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Mathematics minor, both from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
