Andrew McKay has a diverse work experience in finance and leadership roles in various companies. Andrew currently serves as the Finance and Commercial Director - Oil and Gas Business Line at TAQA Group, overseeing international assets in Canada, UK, Netherlands, and Iraq. Prior to this, they were the Finance Director of TAQA's Iraq Business Unit, where they successfully reset the medium-term strategy and implemented a commercial roadmap for improved returns. Before joining TAQA, Andrew worked as a Senior Finance Consultant at Regis Healthcare and as the CFO at Total E&P Australia, where they played a key role in achieving group objectives, raising project finance, generating tax savings, and implementing process improvements. Andrew also worked as a Finance Manager at BHP and started their career as an External Auditor at KPMG.
Andrew McKay obtained a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Bath in 1991. Following that, they enrolled in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1997.
