Andrew Fletcher serves as the General Manager of Marine Operations at TasPorts since March 2020. Prior to this role, a notable tenure at BHP Billiton from January 2011 to March 2020 included positions such as Superintendent Port Services, where oversight of Port operations across all Port Hedland facilities was maintained, and various superintendent roles focusing on marine services, shipping, and operational improvements. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Business Analyst at Ajilon, a Business Process Analyst at K Line Australia, and several positions within K Line Australia, culminating in a Documentation Manager role for Western Australia. Andrew Fletcher holds a Diploma of Maritime and Logistics Management from the Australian Maritime College and completed education at Wesley College.

TasPorts is a state-owned company responsible for eleven Tasmanian ports and the Devonport Airport, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As an island state, Tasmania is reliant upon shipping, port infrastructure and port operations to sustain our communities and our economy. Each year 99% of the State’s freight moves through the TasPorts multi-port network. Working collaboratively, we work to deliver upon our vision to proudly connect people, products and solutions for the benefit of all Tasmanians. We are responsible for Tasmania’s four major ports of Bell Bay, Burnie, Hobart and Devonport. Beyond our major ports, we are also responsible for the management of a number of smaller community ports around Tasmania; Beauty Point | Inspection Head, Port of Lady Baron | Flinders Island, Whitemark Harbour | Flinders Island, Currie Harbour | King Island, Port of Grassy | King Island, Port of Stanley | North West Coast and Port of Strahan | West Coast.
