Sushanta Sahoo

Sushanta Sahoo is an experienced operations leader with extensive expertise in the power sector. Currently serving as the Head of Operations at TATA Power since February 2010, Sushanta has been instrumental in managing India's first Ultra Mega Power Project (UMPP) featuring five super critical units, each with a capacity of 830MW. Prior to this role, Sushanta held the position of Operations Manager at JSW Energy Ltd from June 2004 to February 2010 and worked as Shift Charge Manager for commissioning at NLC TS-1 Expansion between July 2002 and June 2004. Sushanta holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering from Utkal University, an e-MDP in Advanced Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Thermal Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, Faridabad.
