Dan Young has a diverse work experience in the field of land development and infrastructure. Dan started their career at UMA Engineering in 1997 as a Planner and later became the Manager of Planning. In 2001, they joined Focus Corporation as a Planning Manager. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Project Manager at The John R. McAdams Company. Dan then joined Avatar Properties Inc. as a Land Development Entitlement Manager from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, they began working at Stantec as a Senior Planner. Dan later joined Avatar Properties Inc. d/b/a AV Homes Inc. in 2013 as a Land Development Manager. Currently, Dan Young is working at Tavistock Development Company, where they have held various roles. From 2018 to 2021, they served as a Senior Land Development/Infrastructure Manager. From 2019 to 2021, they were the Director of Residential Infrastructure. And since 2021, they have held the position of Vice President of Infrastructure.
Dan Young obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Urban Planning from the University of Windsor, where they studied from 1989 to 1992. Dan further pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration at Lake Superior State University from 1993 to 1994.
