Tavistock Development Company specializes in the thoughtful planning, design and construction of new, innovative property developments. Tavistock Development is a diversified real estate firm owned by Tavistock Group, the international private investment organization founded by Joe Lewis more than 40 years ago. Centered in the vibrant and thriving city of Orlando, Florida, our real estate portfolio is highlighted by Lake Nona, the master-designed community in southeast Orlando. Through private and public collaboration, we developed the innovative 11,000-acre community from the ground-up: from design and permitting, to the construction of the infrastructure network; from residential, retail and office developments, to the creation of Lake Nona Medical City. Lake Nona was recognized as Cisco’s first Smart+Connected city in North America. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said “Lake Nona in Orlando is one of the cornerstones of Florida’s Future.” And Fortune Magazine, in a June 2014 article entitled How to Build a Great American City said, “In the past decade, Tavistock…has created a thriving mini metropolis at Lake Nona…one that may ultimately transform the region.” Lake Nona is master planned community within the city limits of Orlando. The community is home to world-class education, medical and recreational facilities Anchored by its Medical City, the development will create diverse workspaces, retail centers, entertainment choices and residential options for all types of people seeking the best the city has to offer.
