Karl Farrand is an experienced technology leader specializing in tax technology and software development. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at TaxLab since December 2009, Karl focuses on process improvement to enhance efficiency for tax professionals. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Director of Tax Technology at Deloitte, where responsibility encompassed the design and delivery of tax software applications, and as a lead developer at Ernst & Young, where Karl oversaw the development of an innovative online VAT knowledge library. Early career highlights include financial software development at BAA and troubleshooting financial models, combined with foundational work in service and account management roles. Karl holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Auckland and has a diverse educational background starting from Kristin School.
