Julie Parker

Julie Parker is a seasoned GIS professional with a robust background in consulting and leadership across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior GIS Instructor and Consultant at TeachMeGIS since April 2018, Julie also provides expertise as a Consultant at Tellus Geospatial. Previous experience includes a role as Director of Energy Solutions at Spatial Energy, where Julie led a global team focused on customer success, and Director of GIS Services at Chesapeake Energy, where Julie established a prominent GIS department. Julie's early career included managing GIS at The Benham Companies. Julie holds a Ph.D. in Geography (coursework completed) from the University of Oklahoma, an MS in Geography from South Dakota State University, and a BA in Liberal Studies from Francis Marion University.
