Prior to Sparq, Derek served as Senior Vice President of Solution Engineering and Innovation at Rural Sourcing from November 2012 to October 2022, focusing on collaborative product-centric solutions for client challenges. Earlier experience includes project management roles at Clarkston Consulting, Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, and Wyeth, where Derek specialized in client service in the Life Sciences sector and technology projects. Derek began the career as a Systems Analyst at Safe Systems and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
