Stefano Cardo

Stefano Cardo is a distinguished musician and administrator with extensive experience in the field of music, particularly in bass clarinet. Since October 2020, Stefano Cardo has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Associazione Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala. As President of the International Bass Clarinet Association since March 2016 and Founder and Researcher at the International Bass Clarinet Research Center since August 2010, Stefano Cardo has contributed significantly to the promotion and development of bass clarinet research. In addition, a founding member of the Artistic Commission of the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and an esteemed professor of bass clarinet, Stefano has been with Teatro alla Scala since September 2007. Earlier in their career, Stefano Cardo held the position of Principal Bass Clarinet with Rai - Radiotelevisione Italiana and was a Professor of Bass Clarinet at Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale - Rai. Educational qualifications include a Diploma di laurea in Music from the Conservatorio di Musica in Venezia, completed between 1989 and 1996.
