Maurizio Burla is a Full Professor and Chair of High Frequency Technologies and Photonics at Technische Universität Berlin, with a history of esteemed academic positions including Visiting Professor and SNSF Ambizione Research Fellow at ETH Zurich. Burla has also been a Research Fellow at Université du Québec - Institut national de la recherche scientifique and contributed as a Guest Scientist at ASTRON. Burla earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microwave Photonics from the University of Twente, where Burla also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Università degli Studi di Perugia.
