Alberto Gonzalez has extensive experience in the field of metallurgical engineering, currently serving as Practice Lead of Environmental Science at Teck Resources Limited since April 1991, with a progression of roles including Principal Technical Specialist, Principal Metallurgist, Principal Research Scientist, and Senior Metallurgist. Additionally, Alberto served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at The University of British Columbia from July 1994 to July 2019. Alberto holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from The University of British Columbia (1985-1991), a Master of Science in Metallurgy from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1984-1985), and a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Chemical Engineering from the same institution (1979-1984).
