James Downey

James Downey is an accomplished lighting designer with extensive experience since 1995, currently serving multiple organizations. Since June 2008, James has worked at Rogers Communications, contributing expertise to various programs including City News, NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Live, and Hockey Night In Canada. Concurrently, James has been a lighting designer for Global News since 2008, providing services for local and national broadcasts across Canada, including ET Canada and special events like the Royal Wedding coverage. Additionally, James has been associated with TED Conferences since 2016, overseeing lighting design for numerous TED events globally. James's previous roles include ownership of Fullerton Productions Ltd. and work with major networks such as CBC, Food Network, and Bell. Education was obtained at Conestoga College, graduating with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting in 1993.
