Luz Claudio

Luz Claudio is a distinguished Tenured Professor of Environmental Medicine and Public Health at Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine, where leadership roles include Chief of the Division of International Health. With extensive experience since 1991, Luz Claudio specializes as a research scientist in the assessment of environmental pollutants' impact on children's health and directs various training and mentoring programs. In addition to academic responsibilities, Luz Claudio serves as a TED Resident and holds board memberships with several prestigious organizations, including the National Institutes of Health and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Consulting work includes evaluating programs for the Brooklyn Health Disparities Research Center. Educational credentials include a PhD in Neuropathology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
