Michael Ryan

Michael Ryan currently serves as the Director of Philanthropy at TED Conferences, where responsibilities include overseeing mission-aligned individual and institutional giving and designing impact-oriented partnerships to advance TED's mission. Previously, as the TEDx Global Partnerships Manager, Michael managed global partnerships for the TEDx program and coordinated the TEDx Business program for internal events. Prior experience includes serving as Manager of Public Events & Community Engagement at The Municipal Art Society of New York, overseeing large-scale events to further the organization’s agenda and funding, and as a Project Assistant for Jane's Walk, managing outreach and coordinating walking events. Early experiences include roles as a Ranger at Friends of the High Line and an intern at Village Alliance. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Individualized Study: The Politics and Design of Public Space from New York University.
