Olatunbosun Obayomi

TED Fellow at TED Conferences

Olatunbosun Obayomi is an accomplished microbiologist and innovator with extensive experience in urban wastewater management and community bio initiatives. Since August 2005, Olatunbosun has led the design of anaerobic reactors and algae photo bioreactors at the BioApplications Initiative. As a TED Fellow and a member of the 2020 Fellows Organizing Committee, Olatunbosun has contributed to fostering innovation and knowledge sharing. Engagement with the iGEM Foundation and various roles at Dalberg has further enhanced Olatunbosun's expertise in research, recruitment, and data analysis, particularly regarding the impact of the COVID-19 crisis in Nigeria. Olatunbosun's earlier experiences also include enumerator work with the Center for Public Policy Alternatives and internship at the Wellbeing Foundation Africa, alongside educational credentials from Olabisi Onabanjo University, where a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology was earned.
