Mika Sihvonen

Mika Sihvonen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Mika currently holds the position of Chief Design Engineer at Teknoware, where they are responsible for designing solutions. Prior to this, they worked as a Solution Engineer at the same company. In 2019, Mika worked at Dovia Design Oy as a Product Design Manager, overseeing new product design and development. Mika also played a key role in marketing and digital marketing. Before that, they served as an Industrial Design Team Leader at ALTEN Finland. Mika's experience includes working as a Product Designer and Industrial Designer at HALTON OY, where they focused on chilled beam systems and health segment products. Mika has also worked as a Design and Development Manager at DOVIA OY and as an Owner/Designer at Lumo Audio, a high-end loudspeaker manufacturer. Additionally, they have experience as a Senior Design Engineer and Industrial Designer at Lahden Autokori Oy, and as an Industrial Designer at Merivaara Corp., where they focused on the design and aesthetics of hospital equipment. Mika's career began at Innovantti Ky, where they worked as a partner and senior designer, specializing in various design areas such as industrial design, furniture design, architecture, interior design, and graphic design.

Mika Sihvonen earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Lahti Institute of Design/Lahti Polytechnic from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, they attended Artemia Instituutti/Savonlinnan Käsi- ja Taideteollisuusoppilaitos, where they did not graduate, studying Crafts and Design.
