Tim Smith

Tim Smith has an extensive career in the telecommunications sector, currently serving as a Field Service Specialist at Ciena since April 2017. In addition, Tim is the Founder of Telcom Networks Europe SL, established in February 2014, focusing on providing cost-effective telecom services in southern Spain. Previously, Tim held the position of 3rd Line Support Engineer at Syntigo from January 2009 to April 2017, managing Ciena SDH and Carrier Ethernet networks. Tim's earlier experience includes various roles at Nortel Belgium, where responsibilities ranged from supporting GSM-R systems to managing Optical and VOIP projects, and contributions to WorldCom's optical network rollout in Europe. Tim's career began at Cable and Wireless as a Telecoms Engineer, overseeing local telco networks.
