Roger Korus, CD, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Roger is currently a Senior Director of Engineering at Telesat since July 2020. Prior to this, Roger worked as an Army Reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces from June 2002 to July 2022. Roger also served as a Senior Project Engineer at UrtheCast from September 2015 to June 2020, where they played a key role in the development and engineering of synthetic aperture radar payloads and remote sensing capabilities. Roger's earlier experience includes working as a Systems Engineer at MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates from January 2010 to August 2015, focusing on UAV communications systems and antenna systems for earth observation satellite ground stations. Roger also worked as a Design Engineer and Manager of Production Engineering at Eleven Engineering from June 2006 to December 2009, responsible for RF transceiver design, testing, production oversight, and customer support.
Roger Korus, CD, P.Eng. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta from 2001 to 2005. Roger also holds a Professional Engineer certification awarded by the Professional Engineers Ontario.
