Rafael Urbina-Quintero

Rafael Urbina-Quintero is a prominent executive in the digital media sector, currently serving as COO of Vix at TelevisaUnivision since January 2022, after holding the position of EVP/GM of AVOD Streaming and Digital at Univision Communications Inc. from February 2021 to February 2022. As the Founder and CEO of Vix Inc. from March 2017 to February 2022, Rafael successfully led the company to a profitable exit to Univision, Inc. Before that, Rafael founded and served as CEO of Batanga Media from January 2006 to March 2017 and Planeta Networks from January 2000 to December 2005. Rafael also co-founded and was Managing Director of Multicanal TPS in Spain from February 1993 to November 1996. Academically, Rafael holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Miami Herbert Business School and multiple law degrees from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello.
