Lizeth Tamayo

Lizeth Tamayo, PhD, is a Computational Biologist at Tempus Labs, Inc. since September 2023, previously holding a role in Professional Development at AstraZeneca from June 2022 to September 2023. At AstraZeneca, Lizeth gained experience in clinical trials training and mentoring within the Scientist Mentoring and Diversity Program. Prior to this, Lizeth was a PhD Graduate Researcher at the University of Chicago, where research focused on computational genetic analyses and the development of a polygenic risk score related to arsenic exposure. Lizeth also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, San Francisco, enhancing data collection for NIH-sponsored breast cancer research, and as a Susan G. Komen Fellow at the University of Illinois at Chicago, coordinating community health initiatives. Lizeth holds a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology, a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and French.
