Alan Powell has extensive experience in the data center industry, currently serving as the Head of Operational Excellence at Teraco – A Digital Realty Company since March 2011, where responsibilities include managing project management and data center installations. Previous roles at Teraco include Operational Excellence Manager and Data Centre Facilities Manager. Alan has also held positions as Data Centre Operations Manager at Dimension Data, and various technical roles at Norland Managed Services and Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper. An early career started with a Fitter and Turner apprenticeship, showcasing a solid foundation in engineering and maintenance. Alan completed secondary education at Eshowe High School and Springs Boys High.
