Sebastián Castro has a diverse range of work experience in the steel industry. Sebastián started their career at Ternium in 2002, where they held various roles in supply chain management and planning. Sebastián then joined USIMINAS in 2012 as a General Manager in Order Management. In the same year, they returned to Ternium as the President of Ternium Centroamerica, overseeing production and sales operations in various Central American countries. In 2018, they became the President of Ternium Colombia, responsible for managing multiple production facilities and leading a large team of employees. Throughout their career, Sebastián has demonstrated strong leadership skills, as well as expertise in logistics, planning, and sales management.

Sebastián Castro completed the Global Leaders Executive Program in Business Administration and Management from Wharton Executive Education in 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a degree in Industrial Engineering from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 1993 to 1998. In addition, they obtained a verified certificate from edX for the course "Introduction to Connected Strategy" in 2023.
