Dan Lawing

Dan Lawing currently serves as the Engineering Technical Lead for Nuclear Island Fluid Systems at TerraPower, focusing on advanced reactor power plant development and oversight of reactor cooling system design. Previously, Dan Lawing spent over 26 years at GE Power, where roles included Services Engineering for power plant systems and equipment, emphasizing system improvements, thermal performance monitoring, and root cause analysis. Past positions also feature leadership in gas turbine accessory systems, contributing to multiple gas turbine projects, and establishing control systems for combustion operations. Dan Lawing's career initiated at Pratt & Whitney, concentrating on rocket and military jet engine test data analysis. Dan Lawing holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and the University of Florida, respectively.
