George Simion currently serves as Senior Corporate Counsel for Intellectual Property and IP Transactions at TerraPower since August 2023. Previously, George held the position of Associate General Counsel and Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Palo Alto Networks, where responsibilities included leading the IP group and managing global IP strategies and litigation related to cyber and network security. Prior to that, George served as Director of Intellectual Property at NetApp and Senior Patent Counsel at Oracle, overseeing patent portfolios and advising on litigation and licensing. Earlier experience includes roles at Sun Microsystems, Oliff & Berridge, and Blakely Sokoloff, as well as engineering positions at SAIC and the Idaho National Laboratory. George holds a JD from The University of New Mexico School of Law and both a MS and BS in Nuclear Engineering from The University of New Mexico.
