Joe Rice

Joe Rice is a seasoned R&D professional with extensive experience in blood processing and medical research. Currently serving as Lead Research Scientist at Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies since February 2004, Joe focuses on protocol development and provides scientific support for pre-clinical studies. Prior to this, Joe worked as a Laboratory Scientist at Navigant Biotechnologies, where responsibilities included characterizing cellular responses to pathogen reduction technology. Joe's career began at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, contributing to research on oxidative stress in pulmonary disease. Joe holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biological Science and Zoology from Colorado State University.
